CULTURE OF AUDIOVISUAL IMAGES

The course aims to start a journey through the iconology of cinema; bring to light a visual thought and representational figures through the study of blocks of significant images applied to classic, modern and contemporary cinema and also to media images. In each block, two related iconographic motifs are dealt with, which have some connection to the expressive mechanisms of cinema: intimacy, landscape, indirect presence, scenography, action or abstraction, among others. To establish a comparative study between the images, the film detail system is used, that is, the selection of those significant fragments that can establish a dialogue between different films, thus considering each film segment as a work of art that dialogues with other movies and other expressive systems.
